The Board of Directors at Arizona Center For Empowerment (ACE) is excited to announce a leadership change within the organization which will strengthen the work and impact ACE is making on behalf of communities of color and working families across Arizona.

Alejandra “Alex” Gomez will continue to lead ACE and serve as its sole Executive Director as the board moves the organization away from its current co-leadership structure. Tomas Robles has transitioned out of the organization, and we thank him for his years of service at ACE.

With 22 days to go before the midterm election, the work and mission of ACE remains critical, and we want to assure you that this leadership change will not change or impact our commitment to you nor our work. In fact, over the coming weeks, ACE will continue mobilizing and organizing for Dreamers to obtain in-state tuition through Prop 308 and fighting to curb medical debt collection at the ballot box by supporting Prop 209. In the end, our leaders will leave it all out on the field through our get out the vote efforts knocking on tens of thousands of doors to ensure our communities make it to the polls. This is the fight of our generation - the fight for a bold, inclusive Democracy.

Alex has been a critical member of the ACE family since 2013 first having served as a board member and in 2015 transitioning into the Co-Executive Director role. She has shaped the organization into what it is today by establishing a bold vision and strategy which guide ACE, and helped build our growing base of organizers and leaders that engage in year-round community engagement and power building. Alex has also been the mastermind behind multiple campaigns that have delivered political and economic wins for BIPOC communities and families in Arizona.

We believe that the organization is in great hands with Alex at the helm and we are excited to see what other victories she will deliver to Arizona’s working families and communities of color.

Thank you for believing in ACE.
